In Home Pet Care

My name is Samantha Leach. I am currently a student at Colorado State University with a passion for animals. I am studying Equine Science with a minor in Business Administration. I am also in the pre-vet program. Not only are my academics strong, but my love for all things animal outshines above all else.
I have been raised around almost every living creature. I started horseback riding at the age of 5, and had dogs and cats around me from before I could walk. Growing up, I volunteered and worked at a livestock petting zoo. While there I took care of chickens, goats, donkeys, cows, pigs - you name it. After that, I worked in a Veterinary Clinic as the kennel assistant. I took care of older dogs and cats as well as ones that had just gotten out of a procedure. I then became a sales associate at PetSmart where I learned great customer service skills. I also increased my understanding of different pet products. Over this past summer I was a wrangler/trail guide for Chatfield Stables.
Currently my aspirations are to continue with my studies at Colorado State University and become a large animal veterinarian. I want to put my experience with many animals to use now by helping you. I know it can be hard for many people to be able to vacation due to the fact that some animals cannot be taken to the local kennel to be watched for an extended amount of time.
